Chess Tournaments
We host online chess tournament fundraisers, donating 50% of all proceeds to our organization. We’ve raised $1000+ in 7 tournaments.
Where funding goes
Every dollar raised by New Roots Network goes directly toward supporting refugee families in the Bay Area. Our funds are used in partnership with local charities such as.Refugee and Immigrant Transitions (RIT) to provide essentials like food, clean water, bedding, hygiene supplies, and other daily necessities that families need to rebuild their lives. Funds also support the Stories Project, our flagship video storytelling initiative that gives refugees a platform to share their human story with the world.

Annual Raffles
Our top fundraising initiative. Over the course of four annual raffle fundraisers, our community came together to raise over $12,000. We typically sell tickets at the San Ramon Farmers’ Market, and are expanding our reach to other markets as well.
Hygiene Kit Drive
We organized a Hygiene Kit Drive at our school that collected over $1,500 worth of products for those in need — providing essential care items to refugee families in our community.
